Welcome to the Counselor's Corner!
LLE's school counselor is beginning his ninth year here at Los Lunas Elementary. We look forward to a productive and new year. This year we are excited about having 5th and 6th grade students. It will involve a few changes, but we are looking at the positive impact these students will have on our LLE community. The opportunity to become leaders and lead by example is something that we will instill in our students.
Last year, a group of counselors gathered together during the summer and drafted an innovative comprehensive counseling curriculum that is being implemented throughout the district. It is our goal to meet the growing need of our elementary school population. Our mission is to collaborate with students, families, community members and school personnel to assure that all students realize and integrate their academic career and personal/social potential in order to develop and achieve an inpidualized vision of success. Teamwork is critical to the success of our program.
Soon, we hope to have a list of available resources in the community or on the web that you will be able to access through this site. Please look for this in the future. We will have topics such as Postive Behavior Support (PBS), Bully Prevention, Alcohol/Substancer Abuse Prevention, and Career Information.
